The Meat soup will be our spectacular Chipotle Corn Chowder with bacon. Our veggie soup is a Pinto Bean Chili with Sweet Potato.
In the Specialty case we’ll have Grilled T-major steak with pilaf and a red wine compound butter, as well as a greek style Baked Fish. New on Monday is a chutney of Dates and Tamarind, delicious when paired with a Spanish Manchego sheep cheese from our cheese department.
In our grab and go you’ll find Leek and Potato Soup as well as Gumbo, stuffed with Andouille, Fish, and Chicken. We also have a Portabella Mushroom Calzone, and as always, whole Roasted Free Range Chickens.

Happy leap Day.
If you’re like me and the rapid barometric changes are wreaking havoc on your sinusus and immune system, try a proven cure: chicken vegetable soup from our deli. The vegetarian soup this weekend is another brothy therapeutic concoction: hot and sour vegetable with mushrooms, carrots and rice.
It’s friday, you had a long week, you deserve a break. Maybe a special meal with little or no actual cooking involved? How about a gourmet entree from our specialty department. This weekend we have saffron fish cakes, made from grouper filet and potato, and served with a sweet pea remoulade. For a more substantial meal try some hangar steak tips, or curried coconut tofu with fried rice and zucchini. Put on your slippers, fire up the microwave, crack open a Netflix and a beer, enjoy.
If you are in a mood for something sweet for dessert try a simple but decadent chocolate-peanutbutter whoopie pie, a classic cupcake, or a homemade cherry-chocolate mini pie.

The meat soup to start out the week is a drunken pork stew, made with pork butt and pasilla chiles, stewed in tomato juice, beer, and chicken broth. The veggie soup is a vegan Potato Artichoke puree and it is delightful.
Make sure to check out our entrees in the specialty department. This week we’ll have Gumbo with collards and dirty rice, as well as our sultry mole enchiladas, and a few other surprises.
If you haven’t had your requisite dessert binge this week, check out some new recipes in our bakery. We have a new baker and she’s cooking up some great stuff. There’s personal blueberry pomegranate pie, cupcakes, and key lime bars, just to name a few.
